Zambia Medical Mission 2018

So much has happened since my first trip to Zambia in 2014 and it is all because of your help and the help of many people and organizations!

Last summer, God partnered me with a pastor from Zambia, Pastor Mercy, and her organization, Touching Heart Ministries. 7 acres of land was bought and paid for last year to start a safe home for women and a transformational home for children who have been abused and neglected. We have the plans all set for our first building project which Is a safe home for women and drilling our first well on the property. We are currently fundraising for this building project and hope to break ground shortly.

I will be returning to Zambia this summer for 5 weeks, 2 of which I will be with Gap Community who I have travelled with every summer. Here is a few of the projects I will be involved in:

·         Medical clinics in the bush village of Chimata and at the Disabled Resource Center in Chipata

·         3 days of discipleship teaching with the children of Hesed School in the township of Kanyama

·         Various projects with the children at Daughters of Zion children’s home

·         Working with Livingstone Mission Center and Overland Missions in discipling local pastors, church plants and local chiefs

·         Working with Touching Heart Ministries on plans for the safe homes and transformational home for abused and neglected children

·         2 weeks at Village of Hope where I will help provide medical care to for the 90 children at Village of Hope and the 650 children at School of Hope

I am looking forward to what God is going to do during my time in Zambia this summer! In order to make all of this possible I am raising $4700 that will cover my airfare, lodging, food, transportation, supplies, as well charitable giving when we are on the ground.
