Nanaimo Onsite Safe Consumption

The number of overdose-related deaths in Nanaimo is terrifying.  While the death count rose, a group of concerned citizens rallied to establish the Onsite Safe Consumption site in the parking lot of Nanaimo City Hall. 

The group provides a supervised area for drug users to consume drugs in a supervised environment with people ready to respond with Naloxone and lifesaving techniques.  

Funds are needed immediately for several purposes:

Generator Fuel and maintenance
Nutritional food for visitors
Cleaning supplies
Facility upgrades

These funds will be helping those on the frontlines prevent overdose-related deaths. If funds are not available we are also looking for quality warm clothing, food to distribute and qualified volunteers.
