Madison's Medical Fund
Our 3 yr old daughter, Madison, was diagnosed with Stage 3 malignant liver cancer two weeks ago. Her liver is covered with tumor masses.
Madison complained of a stomach ache accompanied by low grade temeratures over 4 days and moved into severe stomach pains.
The diagnosis was unexpected to say the least, especially since she is a very healthy child and we saw no signs. But more than ever, liver cancer in toddlers this age is nearly unheard of and highly rare. Madison is in the middle of her first cycle of chemo with a liver transplant shortly thereafter. The success rate thru Barnes Jewish Children's hospital transplant surgeons is exceptionally high and we pray for a positive outcome. The journey will be long and challenging - this will be a marathon with a lot of praying, hard work and patience!
We are asking for donations for any unforeseeable medical bills that our insurance will not cover. Any money left over will go towards children's cancer research.
We just wanted to give you an update on Madison.
She got a new liver on Nov. 8th!!! She was in the hospital for 9 days following the surgery. She had a total of 3 surgeries during those 9 days but she is at home now resting and recovering. Her blood work and new liver look great according to the doctors so we are very optimistic that she will be back to normal in several months!!
We greatly appreciate all the thoughts, prayers, and donations!!! We ask that you continue them as we go through this long journey.
God Bless you all!!
Thank so much for your thoughts, prayers, and donations. We greatly appreciate all of them!!
We wanted to send out an update about our brave little girl, Madison, who just turned 4 yrs. old yesterday, the 25th of October. She is doing good considering the situation. She has her last dose of of her 2nd round this upcoming Friday, Oct. 31st. Once she has it the doctors will take "labs" from her on Nov. 4th. If her blood levels are where they should be AND if there is a liver available then she will have a transplant the first part of November!!
We ask for you to keep her in your thoughts and pray for everything to go as planned AND for a speedy recovery!!!!!
God Bless you all!!
