This past 13 months have been the HARDEST, DARKEST, most terrible anyone one person should endure in an entire lifetime. Unfortunately, it all came at me like a tsunami.
As we know already I have had my entire upper jaw (maxilla) removed last October 20th. Can you all imagine having to glue a very large prosthetic to the roof of my (holding it tightly in place for minutes on end)to be able to talk (and not too well either), to eat (what little I can)- anything. Its very disheartening! I will never be able to just pick a hamburger or a sub up (for instance), hold it in my hands and take a bite of it. imagine that, even for a second. After 6 weeks of radiation was finished, I am left still to this day with ZERO sense of taste or smell. I was then told my cancer returned and had spread to my left lower lung in June (right after I witnessed my 92 year old live-in grandmother fall to her death down her stairs at 1am (right in front of me and my mother). After burying her I opted to have this spot taken out. One of the hardest surgeries I have had!! After months of healing from that extremely painful surgery, I went for my 3 month scans, and guess what? I was told the cancer had once again for the third time returned, now it spread to the upper left lung lobe. I am having this lobe removed next Friday, Nov 16th. I will once again be back in the hospital for a while, this surgery is quite extensive. I'm tired. No one knows, and on top of it, I am so struggling financially. My dignity and pride have gone out the window months ago. I am asking for help from anyone that cares. Anyone that can help. I mean, its not like I'm asking to help pay for a vacation or something, I have not been on vacation since 2007, isn't that crazy?!. I just want to get by. I want to be able to get some groceries at the grocery store and not have to worry about it. id like to be able to pay some bills and have a few stressors subside. Anyone that cares, anything would help. Please.
