Ethan Maines' Summer Internship

Donation protected
Believe me, this is super weird for me, but as a mom, I do what I have to do for my kids.

As you may or may not know, because of intense competition in the workforce, internships are often considered an integral part of the college experience and the entry-level work force. In fact, Ethan's school requires an internship.  More often than not, internships are unpaid, which gives upper-class students a huge advantage over people of the lower-middle socio-economic status, like me and my kids.

Ethan, who is a rower and in school for Sports Management/Sports Psychology, has accepted an incredible internship at the US Rowing Association. He will be working with the the Olympic rowers for the whole summer. This is an amazing opportunity that will hopefully help his chances for a job in the future.  Whether or not you know Ethan, I'll tell you that he's a really cool kid. His school, Ithaca College, chose him as part of their Leadership Scholar Program, and outside of school, he's a kind, funny, motivated, gifted young man.

It is paid, however, the internship (in Princeton, NJ)  requires a car and doesn't provide housing. All of the money he makes will go to housing. Every last cent. I will be giving him my car, leaving me car-less for the summer, but I have no money to give him to live off of.

If you have $5, $10, whatever, to donate to a hard working, intelligent, young man, it would be appreciated.
