Team Zach Heindel

My Wonderful nephew, Zachary, has a rare congenital heart condition known as Shone's Complex. He is also currently in heart failure known as Restrictive Cardiomyopathy that is also rare. He was diagnosed at 10 which has complicated fixing the damage that went on for 10 years. He has a stent in his aorta, and has had all the treatment he could get from MUSC (Medical University of South Carolina). The only thing medically safe for him at this point is a transplant. He just received a PICC line to administer medicine intravenously straight to his heart. His blood pressure remains elevated, but he is expected to be able to go home with it. He is being placed in category 1 B for his transplant, and we are all hopeful it will be 3-9 month or less to receive his heart. He struggles with the reality that someone will have to go for him to stay. He will need to be taken back and forth to the hospital 2 hrs away for regular work ups to make sure he stays healthy enough when a heart comes available. Zach has been an inspiration to so many people; always keeping his head held high no matter what circumstances. He is always first to lend a hand, or give words of encouragement. He continues to touch the lives of all who he meets. He truly is a rare shining star with a lot of love to spread. 
Unfortunately this process comes with high cost, and his family is struggling to stay afloat financially. They need all the help they can get through prayers and donations to help cover this extensive process. Thank you all for helping lift my nephew and his family up as a priority. Zachary is destined for greatness! This family has been through so much and needs everyone's help now.
