Living expenses during cancer treatment

I've made several GoFundme fundraisers for other people but never thought I'd make it for my own kid. My oldest son has cancer and it's spread. Three years ago my oldest son Emmanuel who is also an EMT in the city of Newburgh felt a lump in his neck.

Unfortunately the Dr didn't take it serious and now it's spread. He recently found several more lumps in his neck and after a biopsy and several CT scans we have found out that he has thyroid cancer that has spread to his lympnodes and deep into his chest.

He will undergo a 7 hour surgery and then do radiation. He'll miss several weeks of work to undergo treatment and heal after surgery. The kind of radiation he'll be taking will make him have to sequester himself for an additional week.

Manny is an EMT in the city of Newburgh and worked through the pandemic as a first responder. His picture hangs in the St.Luke's hopsital after saving the lives of three people there. He loves his job and will be working up until his surgery in June.

I'm raising money to help him pay expenses for whatever insurance doesn't cover and to cover his household expenses until he can get back to work. This has been a difficult time for him as he has also had to just put his dog of 12 years down. We are grateful that he is under the care of one of the best thyroid cancer Dr's at NYU and are in good hands.
