Carrol McKenzie

On April 27th, the Stone Ridge Community learned that Carol McKenzie, our beloved friend, and longtime Sage employee, is hospitalized in the ICU fighting against COVID-19. Carrol's family and friends are saddened not only by her illness; they have not been able to communicate with her since Sunday, April 26th. Carrol's husband is in the recovery stage from the virus and is home at this time. If you know Carrol, you will agree that she is soft-spoken yet strong in personality, happy and, most of all, she is real. Carrol plays a significant role on the Sage team and, in each division, taking care of the faculty, staff, and, most importantly, our students. Always with a kind word and smile, Carrol seems to know what we need before we ask for it and always offers her help. Among so many other qualities, Carrol is a strong, intelligent, and humble woman for whom we are all blessed to know and have in our community.

While our entire community continues to pour out abundant prayers, love, and hope, Carrol and her family's needs extend beyond our heartfelt blessings. Carrol was admitted to the hospital over 11 days ago, and, at this time, Carrol remains in the ICU at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring on a respirator. We hope that, with this funding page, we can begin to alleviate some of the medical expenses that the family is sure to incur. Any support given will allow the family to feel a small peace of mind and reassurance that our deep concern will continue to propel actions to do anything and everything to help the McKenzie family at this difficult and painful time.
