Please Help My Brother Fight Stage 4 Lymphoma
My older (and only) brother, Richard, was just diagnosed with Stage 4 Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. Richie, as I've always called him, is facing a long road of intensive chemotherapy for his cancer with an unknown prognosis. Last week, a port was surgically placed in his chest and 18 weeks of chemotherapy will be starting this week, on July 11. The reason I am here on GoFundMe is because the doctors have told my brother that this chemotherapy is going to leave him unable to work the grueling hours (the overnight shift) and overtime which he and his family rely on.
My brother is the hardest working man I know, he proudly puts family first. His wife, three daughters, and grandson are everything to him.
The doctors have told Richie that while unlikely, even if he feels well enough to go to work, his immune system will be so compromised, that he cannot be exposed to germs or other people. He will need to wear a mask at all times and will be extremely nauseous and tired.
For the next six months, Richie's wife will also be taking off a lot of time from work to drive him to and from his numerous medical appointments and to be there for him.
With both of them unable to work full-time (and overtime), it is going to be very difficult to keep up with the household expenses (mortgage, electricity, food, etc.) and overwhelming medical bills.
I hope you will consider helping him out during this difficult time. Your funds will help him focus on getting well.
Thank you so much for helping out my big brother and his family.
That's me and my big brother <3
