Alex Lorusso Post Car accident

Donation protected
Hello all and Happy New Year. As most of you know, Alex Lorusso was involved in a horrific four car accident on Saturday, December 30, 2017 in Levittown. He was on his way home about to drop his passenger Stephanie off. A vehicle ran a red light striking Alex’s pick up truck, causing it to flip multiple times and eventually catching on fire. The driver left the scene and fled. Thankfully three heros saw the aftermath and ran to the scene to pull Alex and his passenger seconds before the entire car engulfed in flames. They are heros and we are FOREVER grateful for them!

Alex was immediately rushed to a local hospital  and admitted to the ICU. He is still currently in the ICU in a medically induced coma as of January 1, 2018. He has suffered traumatic brain injury, broken ribs and a pulmonary contusion.  We have so much hope and faith that as each day passes Alex will continue to improve, with prayer we believe he will make a full recovery.

As many of you know Alex, he is an amazing young man. He possesses so many great characteristics. He cares for his dog Carter, he is very active in his community as a volunteer firefighter for Atlantic Steamers and is a local football coach for St. Dominic’s High School. He has a personality that lights the room up. He lives a very active life as a manager of a nutrition store helping people improve their daily life.

As we know even in a tragic accident, life still goes on and so do the everyday bills and medicial bills to come. He has a long road ahead of him with rehabilitation and recovery. At this time, it is uncertain when Al will be able to return to work. All we want is for Al to focus on his health and get back to the brother we know him as. We don’t want him worrying about the monetary things in life. We know Al would do anything for anyone, and we are asking for your support. We ask that you continue to keep Al in your prayers.

Update: As of Friday, 1/19, Al is home where he requires 24 hour care. He begins out patient rehab next week. We appreciate all of your generousity and prayers. The funds raised here will be withdrawn and will be used for his out of pocket medical expenses, co-payments,  and transportation needs to and from the rehab facility. Please continue to pray for his complete recovery as we believe that is what has gotten him to where he is today.
