Zoe’s Magic Wand

Zoe is a bright, beautiful and brave three year old girl. She loves making her baby sister Holly laugh, her friends, playschool, Sylvanian Families, reading storybooks, singing, playgrounds and wearing pretty dresses and hairbands . 

On the 15th of July, Zoe’s parents, Carmel and Alan, received the extremely sudden and devastating news that Zoe has a rare and aggressive malignant brain tumour. Zoe immediately underwent emergency surgery to have the fluid drained around her brain. Within a matter of weeks Zoe will have undergone five surgeries in Temple Street to remove the tumour and prepare her for the next stage of treatment. 

Once her medical team are satisfied, Zoe will immediately transfer to Crumlin Hospital for Chemotherapy to begin as soon as possible. Following the Chemotherapy, Zoe will require Proton therapy (radiation) in Germany. 

We are fundraising to give Zoe’s family financial freedom to focus on the things that really matter while Zoe is undergoing treatment. Zoe’s care will be hospital based and someone needs to be with her 24/7. This fund will help cover some of the many costs associated with her treatment and for her family, including taking time off work to care for Zoe, the day to day expenses in Crumlin Hospital and the costs of travelling to and living in Germany during her specialist treatment.
