Zoe's Trip to Ghana

Hello everyone! I (Zoe Johnston) am raising money to participate in a school trip to Ghana in October of 2018. I am passionate about service work and hope to work internationally in the future, so this trip is very close to my heart.
WHAT THE TRIP IS
I will have the opportunity to help locally based non-profits such as Challenging Heights which works to rescue, rehabilitate, and educate child slaves. Challenging Heights is a non-profit, non-governmental organization in Ghana that works to protect children right's and end human trafficking. They educate children in their schools as well as mothers on how to provide for themselves and their children. http://challengingheights.org/
This trip is unique in that our group is deciding which projects we're passionate about and how we feel we can best benefit the people in Ghana who have dedicated their life to helping others. Whatever we decide to do, it will be direct work with non-profits in Ghana and supporting initiatives undertaken by the locals.
WHAT THE MONEY WILL BE USED FOR
The impact that we can have on these people is heartwarming and I'm so excited to be a part of this trip, but I do need some help to make this trip a reality for me. I am hoping to raise $2,000 by September 10th of 2018. This money will help me pay for my flight from Denver to Accra, Ghana; vaccinations including yellow fever, typhoid, and malaria pills; a visa to travel in Ghana; and for lodging and transportation while I am there. I appreciate any contributions that you can give in support of me and the work that this group will be doing!
