Suicide Prevention
PukaUp is a cause driven social enterprise (business) created with one goal in mind, to achieve its vision, to end suicide.
After 4 years of hard work, PukaUp is now in a position to begin to tackle this issue properly.
PukaUp has partnered with Melbourne University’s Centre for Wellbeing Science and alffie, an online education provider and tech platform to create a science backed, evidenced-based wellbeing program called Foundations of Wellbeing.
Foundations of Wellbeing is the result of interviewing 30 companies across a range of industries over the past 12 months to understand the challenges and risks that prevent businesses from prioritising the mental health of their staff and organisation. This course has been purpose built for Australian businesses VIDEO .
To help prepare for the launch of this game-changing program, PukaUp is aiming to raise $330,000 from their upcoming 3-day, 331.8 km cycling event in November, 2021.
I will be doing things a little differently and be hitting the 331.8km in one day, starting in Peregian Beach and ending at Hervey Bay in time to enjoy a celebratory afternoon before the Hervey Bay 100.
These funds are vital and will unlock the organisation’s ability to make important investments into resourcing and capacity, on-going program development and improvement, story-telling content, technology, marketing and communications in preparation for a National Launch of the program on World Suicide Prevention Day 10th September, 2021.
Like PukaUp, I am passionate about mental health and suicide prevention and have decided to support PukaUp on this important mission to help create lasting positive change in workplaces across Australia.
I’m excited to be teaming up with PukaUp and supporting them with this exciting event by raising important funds for the launch of this new program.
You can help me reaching my fundraising target.
Thank you,
Greg
