Love for Liam

Hey everyone, 

Liam is the one year old son to our friends Sarah and Sean, who were so helpful to us along our own battle. Now, we want to help them get Liam through his second battle of neuroblastoma.  Sarah has shared with us Liam's history and his current plans to kick some butt.  Please read and keep Liam in your prayers- as we know, the power of prayer is amazing!  If you can help out in any way, even if it is just a few dollars, every little bit helps!  Let's show Liam how much he is loved!!!

Liam was diagnosed with neuroblastoma shortly after he turned a month old. After some testing, the doctors saw that it was only in one area and were able to remove it without a problem. Every three months after the surgery he had to go back for an ultrasound and checkup with the oncology team at Dana-Farber in Boston. Shortly after his one year mark, one of his tests came back with some high levels, we were told to come in and have another ultrasound, and they found another tumor in his abdomen. After an MRI, the doctors told us that the cancer was not just in the one spot, but had spread to at least two other places. He will still need a biopsy done which is scheduled for the end of next week, and will also need some type of chemo. Depending on how well the chemo works, he still might have surgery to remove the main tumor near his liver. Thank you all for the prayers and encouragement sent our way. It's not easy to watch your little guy go through this. We have been blessed with many things, but a few that stick out are how fast the doctors have kept things moving along and how happy and content Liam has been. We know God is in control and loves Liam even more than we do.
