Cancer Treatment Abroad

Hello I’m Madeline a 44 year old Mum of 3 from Canterbury in Kent and I’m fighting Grade 3 Brain Cancer -life expectancy is normally 2-5 years. Brain Cancer is one of the only Cancers that can not be detected through a blood test, and in most cases is only caught by chance or when it’s too late.

On the 6th July I had 9 hours awake craniotomy surgery at Kings College Hospital to remove my Grade 3 Anaplastic Astrocytoma Tumour, not all of the Tumour could be removed due to its location in the Brain.

The NHS can only offer Radiotherapy and Chemotherapy which I have started, but this type of Tumour will regrow and when it does it will come back more aggressive I then will only have life expectancy of 6-12 months.

I am desperate to be around to watch my children grow up and to grow old with my husband, I am an only child and sadly my only parent I had was my Mother and she died suddenly before Christmas 2020. I have never felt so alone in my life in facing this disease.

The NHS are doing what they can but other Countries like America and Germany are further ahead in helping Cancer patients like myself with immune boosting-therapies that are clinically proven to reduce the risk of recurrence.

Im trying to raise £25,000 to be able to travel to Germany to the Hufeland Clinic and also start a rigorous testing programme with American Laboratories who since 1995 have been offering Cancer Profile Tests that could really help me manage the disease better and give me a second chance at life!
