Jaspreet who is end of life.

Hi, my name is Manjit, and I am fundraising for my wife, Jaspreet, who had a stage four brain tumour in 2014, which she had major surgery for and had removed, then had a month of radiotherapy. Jaspreet had regular MRI scans, and then in October 2019, the tumour returned when she had significant surgery again and spent five months in hospital.

Due to coronavirus and the lockdown, she didn't have any further scans.

Then in June 2022, she became ill and sick, and I called the out-of-hours doctor, who came out and gave an anti-sickness injection. She was ok for 3-4 days; then, she was ill again. I called the out of our doctor again, which gave her another anti-sickness infusion; she was ok for 3-4 days, and then she was sick again. I called the out of our doctor again, who said no, she needed to go to the hospital for fluid control as she was dehydrated.

Once at A&E, she was seen by the doctor, who said we needed a CT scan of the head to know why she is being sick.

Once she had the CT scan, the doctor told us the bad news: the tumour had returned, and she had a brain bleed and swelling.

Our world turned upside down as there was nothing more the doctors could do as Jaspreet has had two operations previously and radiotherapy.

The reason for this fundraiser is to keep Jaspreet comfortable as she has been put on palliative care. She is not entitled to PIP as she has no recourse to public funds on her visa, which I am trying to get changed. Because I can’t work, I have to look after Jaspreet, as we are struggling to pay our rent and bills and put food on the table.

Even with the help of my parents emotionally, mentally and financially, I remain in a difficult position financially with the rising cost of living.

Raising these funds will also help me with daily living costs and calling Jaspreet's parents over from India, as this is Jaspreet's last wish.
