Hi, friends! This is Buddy -- an approximately 3 year old male neutered Pit Bull mix that presented to me on ER on Sunday 1/21. Buddy has a 1 month history of weight loss, but his owners were unable to work up his condition. They originally brought him in to euthanize, but I couldn't let him go just yet. His owners were heartbroken but elected to surrender Buddy in order to give him a chance. We don't know what's wrong with him yet, so we are in the process of doing some tests to find out more. What I do know is that he will require lots of TLC! When pets are surrendered, they have to be transferred to an individual (not the hospital). Which means that Joey and I have taken financial responsibility for this little guy. Luckily, we have an amazing intern willing to provide him with housing until we can find him a forever home! Any type of donation would be greatly appreciated. And if we surpass our goal (which may have to be increased depending on test results), any additional funds will be made available to the ER Service for future pets in need. And if you aren't able to give anything, thoughts/prayers/good vibes are always appreciated. Thanks!
