Zion's Patriots Baseball Trip

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Zion Jeremiah Walker I hope all is going well with you. I am a member of the East Cobb Patriots in order to be on the team you have to be on honor roll. I have a 3.5GPA. This summer we will visit over 30 colleges, including many Ivy Leagues and see hundreds of scouts and stay in various cities up the East Coast. A few of the places I will be traveling this summer are: Boston, Greenville, Spartanburg, Atlanta, Chattanooga and Chattahoochee. I also am stopping by a few colleges on the East Coast including, Yale, Boston College, Emory, Mercer, and a few other smaller colleges. All together, this trip will be very expensive with travel, food, and my dad is taking off work so he can travel with me to some of the games. I have a deadline of March 15th to raise the funds.

Baseball is my life. I started playing at the age of 8 years old, in Monroe, Connecticut. I love this sport and have so much fun when I am playing baseball. It means a lot to me and without baseball I would not be as disciplined as I am today. My initial interest came from playing catch with my dad every morning in Connecticut, while I waited for the schoolbus to come.

Moreover, after moving to Georgia, I had to adjust to the speed of baseball in the south, which was much faster. I spent the first couple of years just working hard to catch up to my peers, playing year around and for the majority of the time playing on more than one team at a time. Once I caught up, the focus was getting ahead which is what I am still doing today, by playing with older players at my school, playing travel, and working out in the gym. Today, I am a pretty strong baseball player, but I still have a long way to go to get where I want to get to.

When I first got to Georgia, my family and I visited Woodward Academy, when I saw the school I immediately realized that I want to play baseball there in 5 years. A year later I applied and got accepted into Woodward Academy. And now, as a 10th grade student, I am a starter on the JV team at Woodward Academy. As a starter I have been blessed with the opportunity to travel over the summer with my baseball team. Thus, I am raising money, to fund this opportunity. I will be afforded the opportunity this summer to not only play other schools but to be seen by college recruits. Moving me once step closer towards my dream of playing professionally.

I would greatly appreciate any assistance that you might be able to offer. Below you will find my Paypal and Cash App where you can donate easily and securely. I would also very much appreciate it if you sent this proposal to any organizations, companies, or individuals that you know might be willing to sponsor, Thank you so much to my parents, family and the village which has supported me over the following years. Thank you so much and God Bless.
