Marathon /Bear Cottage Kids Hospice

Hi , I'm Jen (i'm NOT the hero of this story). 

Often I find myself running  (think 'Forest Gump');  I run when i'm happy, and i run when i'm sad.. it kinda looks after me..

Recently my kids and their friends inspired me by raising money for a truly magical place that REALLY looks after kids and carers when they are incredibly vulnerable:

The hero of this story:  Bear Cottage is the only children's hospice in NSW; providing very 'unhospital-like' care to children with life-limiting conditions and their families/ carers.  It is simply a wonderful place; giving all the love, laughter and support needed during incredibly heartbreaking times.  

So on September 16th I'll be running Sydney Marathon, aiming to raise a few $$ along the way.

I often feel odd about people asking for donations to do 'fun life things' so I pledge that all of the money i raise will go directly to Bear Cottage;  to help those that need it most.   

I also promise not to enjoy one moment of the race and I have ordered rain and blisters for the full 42km.

Please help me help those that really look after kids that deserve love and dignity.
