Zeus’s Fight

Family and friends we are needing your help!  Most of you know Jesus (Zeus), but for those who don’t, he is a senior at Lamar High School and an amazing student athlete. He is the son of Rene and Graciela Gonzalez.  Rene was raised in Lamar and attended LHS as well.  He served in the Marines and is now an insurance agent at Golden Plains Insurance and has been very involved in his community.   On August 5 2020, Zeus was diagnosed with Aplastic Anemia.  After many tests, his team of doctors have come to the conclusion that Zeus is in need of a bone marrow transplant to treat his illness.   Next week, Zeus will start a week long physical and if he passes he will begin chemo treatments. The good news is that Mari(sister) will be the donor. She was a 6/6 match. She will be part of the next step after physical week. She will be taking meds to pump up her cell count and due to her size comparison to Jesus they will use Peripheral blood collection. If all goes well with the help of God and many prayers, the transplant will take place. After the transplant, we wait for Zeus’s body to accept the bone marrow and we must avoid getting sick while we wait.  

Please help this beautiful family with a donation and prayers, if you’re able to. Both of his parents have missed work to care for him and they have many trips to Aurora, along with hotel stays, meals, and many medical bills to come.   Thank you and God bless each of you for being part of Zeus’s Fight!   

Bueno, Jesus irá al trasplante de médula ósea debido a que su cuerpo no se cura a sí mismo. Pasamos al siguiente paso que es un físico de una semana. Si pasa pasamos a quimioterapia y al trasplante. La buena noticia es que Mari (hermana) será la donante. Ella es un partido de 6/6. Ella será parte del siguiente paso después de la semana del físico. Ella toma medicamentos para aumentar su recuento de células y debido a su comparación de tamaño con Jesús, usarán la extracción de sangre periférica. ¡Entonces comienza el juego de esperar y evitar enfermarse de TODO! Entonces su cuerpo tomará las nuevas células eso esperamos.  

Por favor, ayude a esta hermosa familia con una donación y oraciones, si es capaz de hacerlo. Sus padres han faltado al trabajo para cuidarlo y tienen muchos viajes a Aurora, junto con estancias en hoteles, comidas y muchas facturas médicas por venir. ¡Gracias y que Dios los bendiga a cada uno de ustedes por ser parte de la lucha de Zeus!
