Zeke O'Connell

Zeke is currently a 13 week old chocolate lab who LOVES to run, play with leaves, and chases after anything that moves. Zeke believes that anyone who passes by must pet and play with him! After a few weeks of having Zeke, we received news that he had an acute kidney injury (AKI) due to an unknown cause. Zeke has been hospitalized for over two weeks, where they ran various tests to try and determine the cause of his AKI. After hitting many dead ends and multiple relapses where he had to return to the hospital, the doctors main concern now is to make sure he is fully hydrated and to keep his kidneys working properly.  He has been hooked up to IV’s and a urinary catheter to monitor his his fluid intake and urinary output. While results are currently improving, the doctors are still not 100% sure when he will be able to come home with us. The medical bills added up quickly so we are asking for some help from other dog lovers so that we can continue the best medical treatment and help to pay for a portion of his current bills.
