Give Chance a chance

Hello everyone,

My name is Lauren and I'm regrettably creating this gofundme for my soul dog, a sweet 10-year-old Australian shepherd named Chance. I noticed a lump on his right side that was getting progressively larger over time. We recently had it biopsied, and it came back as cancer, a grade III mast cell tumor.

Grade III MCTs are VERY aggressive. Without treatment, the oncologist gave Chance a prognosis of 6-8 months, which we couldn't accept. However, with chemotherapy, and potentially surgery in the future, Chance has a significantly greater chance of living a much longer and happy life. Chemotherapy is 90% effective in partially, or even completely, putting this cancer into remission. The chemo is also well-tolerated by dogs and so far he's doing well. However, it is EXTREMELY expensive.

Anyone who knows Chance knows how INCREDIBLY special he truly is and anyone who knows me knows how much he matters to me. Chance really is my WHOLE world.
