Daysha's National Track Meet

Donation protected
My name is Kim Woods and I started this fundraiser so that 16-year-old Daysha Tillman can make it the National Track Meet in Jacksonville Florida the week of July 28th.  Daysha—a Shepard High School student—is the youngest daughter of my dear friends Sam and Keshania Tillman.  I have known them for over 13 years.

I’ve seen Sam and Keshania struggle and sacrifice to ensure that their 3 daughters and son were able to participate 100% in the sports of their choices.  In addition to funding sport fees, track shoes, and uniforms for the kids, they’ve been to every track meet.  All three girls played softball, basketball, and ran track and were heavy contenders in the field but for Daysha, this track meet can put her on the cusp of competing in the Olympics.

Daysha has qualified to go to Nationals—she was all conference winner with 4 FIRST PLACE medals as well as placing strong in down state track meets.  This young lady is a highly intelligent, hard-working, and gifted athlete.  This trip means the world to her because the stakes are extremely high—to use this opportunity as a stepping stone to get to the Olympics.

When our children have big dreams and are willing to work hard to achieve them, we owe it to them to do whatever it takes to get them there.  As someone who has personally seen what this family has been through and achieved against many odds, I felt compelled to appeal for them.  So on behalf of Daysha, I am asking that you please give whatever you can to help cover the cost of her travel and expenses.  You’ll be able to look back and say that you supported a champion!  Thank you so much.
