Small Business Expansion
We are a small UK business providing DIY Diamond art to the uk public currently we rely on overseas manufacturers to be able to meet the demand that we are experiencing we are now looking to begin manufacturing in-house. To be able to do this we need to purchase equipment and materials, that require a bigger up front payment than we currently have. This would enable us to reduce wait times for designs from 4-6 weeks for custom designs and 8-12 for stock designs, down to 1-2 weeks for all designs.
We would ideally like to reach our target by September 2020 as this would enable us to mitigate the delays we experience with overseas production in the run up to Christmas (usually we have to stop guaranteeing customers will receive their orders in time for Christmas by mid October and we would really love to be able to provide the service through til beginning of December allowing more of our customers to be able to gift this fantastic hobby for Christmas)
This would give us the opportunity to create jobs in our local area and to also provide a better standard of customer service for all of our customers. One of the people this would hugely benefit is one of our directors Celina who would be able to stop the other business that she runs and still work form home dedicating more time to this business. That would enable us to respond to enquiries quicker, providing a better service but it would also enable her to take a salary (which we do not currently do as we simply don't have the profit leftover after costs because we want to keep retail price as low as possible for our customers)
We are one of only 5 UK suppliers of Diamond Art and we know that we would be one of only 2 UK manufacturers once we manage to expand into manufacturing.
