This fundraiser page was made by Andrea's friends Deep Patel and Tithi Majmudar. Please take a minute to read Andrea's story and donate as we don't want our friend to stop education due to financial reasons. Any amount would be greatly appreciated.
On April 13th, 2016 Andrea's father Louie Honorato Tenedero suffered a severe brain aneurysm at his workplace and was rushed to the hospital. Sadly after two weeks on life support and special treatment, at the age of 45, he lost his battle and passed away on April 26th, 2016. This was the day, Andrea lost her father.
Louie was a devoted father, and the well-being of his family was always the first and most important priority. He was the person Andrea, and her two siblings Adriana (age 3), Andre (age 8) would look up to, and his presence had everyone around him happy. Also, Louie and his family came to Canada four years ago on a work VISA in search of a better life. He and his family were undergoing the Permanent Residency, and now after suffering this great loss, their future of living in Canada is a jeopardy.
Andrea is going to be attending Seneca College-York University starting next year (2017-2018) for the program of nursing. Since she does not have Permanent Residency, she is considered an international student who has to pay a very high tuition price and will get no assistance from the Canadian Government (including OSAP). Andrea’s tuition for the first year alone is a total of $19,832. With only her mother Maita working and having to care for three children it is a very difficult to pay for an amount so large, along with everyday expenses (living, food, bills, medicine, and all other basic necessities).
We are asking you to support Andrea Tenedero in this time of need, as she is struggling financially to make ends meet while trying to lead a normal life. This won't just be helping Andrea this will also help her family’s future.
Please help Andrea through this emotionally hard time. We don’t want our friend's education to stop simply because of financial setbacks. We hope you will help our friend during this time of need. Any amount donated will be highly appreciated. Please help us meet our goal of paying for one of Andrea’s semesters.
