On 12-30-2019 my coworker rode his bike to an ATM to withdraw money to pay his rent. On his way home he was hit by a white van that then tried to run over him. Two men got out of the van and beat him severely. They stole his backpack and his phone, then ripped his pants leg off to steal his wallet out of his back pocket.
He and his brother (another coworker) are very hard working young men who live paycheck to paycheck. They ride their bikes to work in all kinds of weather and rarely ever ask for help from anyone. They have had a tough life, but they have maintained their integrity and a good work ethic. Having their rent money stolen and missing work due to injuries is a major set back for them.
Any funds I can raise will be given to them to pay their rent and help with bills. If my friends and loved ones can donate any amount, it will be greatly appreciated. It will also make a big difference to two wonderful young men who deserve to finally catch a break.
