Remembering Officer Conrad Buckley

Donation protected
It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of our brother, husband, father, uncle and friend, Officer Conrad Buckley. Conrad passed away during the evening hours on April 27, 2020 due to complications from COVID-19.

He was a valued member of the Northeastern University Police Department (NUPD) in Boston, MA for over twelve years, leaving as a Patrol Sergeant in December 2017. While a member of the NUPD, Conrad was passionate about Northeastern athletics, particularly the hockey teams, and thus built lasting relationships with many involved in the program. Conrad took a leadership role in countless projects and initiatives at the NUPD which will continue to impact the department long after his departure. He was an awesome cop and a great man.

Following his departure from the NUPD, Conrad and his family moved to Lake County, to fulfill a dream to live in Florida. He enthusiastically and proudly continued his law enforcement career with the Clermont Police Department (CPD). Those at CPD who worked with him would state how genuine and outgoing he was. Always with a smile on his face, Officer Buckley would go out of his way to say hello and ask you about your day. During his brief time with the CPD, he proved to be a tremendous asset to both the department and the people of Clermont. Chief Charles Broadway said that Conrad “…was an outstanding police officer who cared greatly for his fellow officers and the community. He took tremendous pride in being a police officer and carried himself with confidence and integrity.”

If you were fortunate enough to have known Conrad, it is inevitable that you have memories that bring a smile to your face. He had many friends and loved ones who are left heartbroken. Conrad is survived by his wife, Naysha, and his daughter, Bailey. Conrad also recently welcomed his granddaughter, Harlow, to the world this past March. Our sympathies go out to Conrad’s family and friends.  Please keep them in your thoughts and in your prayers.

All donations will go directly to Conrad’s family to support them during this difficult time. The family wants all to understand that those who cannot contribute financially during these trying economic times are encouraged to consider donating plasma or blood in Conrad’s memory.

Conrad, we love you and will never forget you!
