Help Me Recover From Myocarditis

On November 25th I went to the ER for chest pain and vomiting that came on suddenly and persisted for more than a day. It turned out that something injured my heart and I was diagnosed with acute myopericarditis (a combination of myocarditis and pericarditis) and kept in the CCU (cardiac intensive care) for four days.

After I got home from the hospital I was completely exhausted and mostly slept for several days. I was put on some medications that they said may do this for a couple weeks so it wasn't a surprise. However, I started developing more pain and discomfort than in the hospital and over the past couple of weeks it became progressively harder for me to breathe and to get up and do anything.

I went back to the ER on the 23rd because I couldn't breathe and after different tests and scans that showed my heart was okay I was diagnosed with acid reflux disease caused by one of the medications presribed for the heart condition, which I was told to stop taking immediately. I can breathe much better now, but I'm definitely not recovered from either issue. I was told the heart would take more time and now I'm seeing a gastroenterologist about my stomach.

I just graduated in early November from a program I tried to get into for most of 2017 so I can work in behavioral health helping people recover from mental health and substance use disorders. However, currently I am just barely starting to be able to return to working from home and I don't know when I will be recovered enough to go out and look for work in the behavioral health field.

A few people have helped me out financially already and they encouraged me to make this page because although I thought their assistance was all really generous, it didn't cover my bills for December. The amount I put down here would cover me for the rest of December and January.
