They say it takes a village to raise a child, but sometimes, it takes a village to make one, too.

As many of you know, we have been struggling to grow our family for many years. Getting pregnant with Reed was nothing short of a miracle and giving Reed a sibling has proven to be almost impossible. My heart breaks to think of Reed's future without a sibling to share life with. Our fight with infertility has been incredibly trying, and after countless cycles with injectable medications, we are turning to IVF this fall/ winter.

To date, we have spent over $30,000 on fertility-related care. Our upcoming treatment is expected to cost around $20,000 after medications, testing, and other procedures. Although we are insured, our insurance company has not covered fertility treatments and will not cover the huge financial costs of IVF. We have worked incredibly hard to get through all the emotional and financial difficulties of infertility. But the costs of IVF (and adoption) are immense.

So it is with our hearts in our hands that we turn to our village of friends and family to ask for help. We have started a GoFundMe page to help us get closer to starting our family. Any contribution is hugely appreciated. For every donation received, we will write your name on a wooden heart that will be framed and displayed in our baby's room (similar to the picture below). The hearts signify the love, support, and generosity that was given to help give Reed a sibling and complete our family.
