Waterco

Donation protected
Twenty-two years ago, my father (Cap) and I started a donation-based purified drinking water service in Garden City, Idaho, providing distilled/deionized quality water in bulk (bring your own container) for everyone, regardless of their ability to pay.  Time proved the service of value to the community, and the request for a donation of $.25/gallon remained constant throughout. However, Waterco is leasing its present location, and the landlord now requires this space to expand his own business, which means Waterco must relocate.
Truth is, Waterco was never just about the water.  It is an ongoing social experiment that tests the integrity of every customer who comes to Waterco.  Many argue, “You can’t trust anyone.”  Waterco argues, trusts everyone to solve a simple equation for themselves: “Do I like this service enough to perpetuate it?”  The Waterco philosophy is simple: provide the best product and service you can, and let the customer decide if it's worth what you're asking.

Waterco customers donated $3138 for 12,220 gallons of purified water in January 2022 for an average of $.256 per gallon.

HOORAY!  Waterco customers passed the integrity test without any laws or other mechanisms forcing them to pay for what they got.  Based on this simple 22 year experiment, it can be argued, “Laws, enforcement and the taxes they require are superfluous.  When a request is reasonable and logical, people willingly support the request without enforcement.”

Which brings us to the next test, “Do you value the concept of purified water for everyone enough to perpetuate Waterco?”  After twenty-two years of service, much of Waterco's original equipment needs replacement and/or upgrading.  This plus moving expenses are beyond Waterco's current revenue stream, yet Waterco must begin its relocation (or shutdown) on March 31, 2022.

Can we raise $40,000 in that time period?  In the spirit of how ALL public works projects SHOULD be funded, if this Waterco funding project fails to raise $40,000 by March 31, GoFundMe will return your donations.

If you think Waterco should continue providing purified water for everyone, please, ask your friends and neighbors what they think.  Thank you for your consideration and assistance.

Sincerely,

Marc Kramis
