Willy's Vet Bills

I guess everyone knows Willy. He’s been my constant companion for 14 years and will be 15 on June 1st. Willy, short for “Wandering Willie” or “Sir William of Piddleshire”, is the finest Yorkie a man could want.

From San Gregorio to Pescadero to Woodside and beyond, Willy has made friends by walking up to everyone and saying ‘Hi!’, enchanting everyone.

Unfortunately, Willy’s last checkup showed a plethora of internal problems that we need to deal with.

Priority #1 is that he needs to be neutered; which will help his prostate gland, testicles and other related areas, and remove stones from his bladder and related biopsies. His kidneys also have degenerative changes and he has arthritis.

Priority #2 is that he needs to have his teeth worked on.

He also has other liver issues, which we are setting aside for now.

So far, Willy’s doing pretty well, with a little limp from his arthritis, but he’s pretty happy at this point and I’d like to keep it that way.

I’m just worried he could be in pain and I wouldn’t know it.

The Estimates are:

Operation for Priority #1: $4,703.90

Operation for Priority #2: $ 990.00

Total: $5,694.00

So we are looking to collect $7,000 to cover the estimates and the inevitable extra issues.

Extra money will go to the La Honda Elementary School
