Brendan's Care Fund

Brendan George was fulfilling a dream of his to take his motorcycle across country and was in a serious accident.  He is currently being cared for in a hospital in Denver where he works each day towards recovery. Brendan suffered numerous fractures, but the most pressing concern is his Severe Traumatic Brain Injury.

Prognosis for TBI at this stage is still very uncertain in both time and outcome. This fund is designed to raise monies to help offset medical, legal and any other expenses the family will incur in Brendan's care.  

As his cousin Maggie so eloquently wrote: "If anyone can pull through this, it's Brendan, who is such a relentless individual whether it's entertaining his many nieces and nephews, teaching his school students, renovating something, or just having a terrific and wonderful attitude, including a beer to share or a gregarious 'hello.' This is one fabulous guy and he needs every prayer in the world..."

His sister Barbara adds: "Feel free to pray, send intentions, or even good vibes. He is such a zany, fun-loving, quirky, big-hearted guy. He loves nature, being with family and friends, and general shenanigans. As such, teaching middle school science is a great fit for him."

The family has been overwhelmed by the goodness and outpouring of support from  his extended family, friends, and the communities he calls home. 

His sister Lauren sums it up so well with: "So many people have told us they are rooting for him, and we are blown away by how supportive you all are. Someone sent a stuffed ape to Brendan's room, which is so appropriate!"

Please encourage all you know who ride (bike, motorcycle etc.) to wear a helmet -- we thank god that he was.
