Hello All!

We are a group of high schoolers working internationally to purchase masks in China to donate to groups in Ohio. 

The Current Situation:  There is a a massive shortage of resources, including face masks, gloves, and other supplies. 

Because of this shortage, it is now virtually impossible for people to obtain supplies, as producers are supplying only to hospital systems. Even then, hospitals still lack all resources they need to continue operations, leaving other groups and organizations in the country with few supplies to keep their operations safe. 

In just over 2 months, the United States has also surpassed both China and Italy in the number of COVID-19 cases, and has amassed over 50,000 deaths.  In Ohio alone, there are 21,131 cases and 1071 deaths, as of May 9.

While the curve is slowly flattening, Governor Mike DeWine has tweeted "We don't think this will peak until May." In addition, experts predict that with the state reopening so quickly, it is very likely that further oubreaks will rebound, more serious than the current epidemic.

Our Mission: To purchase personal protective equipment (PPE) in China to donate to groups in Ohio.

Hospitals need the resources, but they are not available domestically in the United States.  This leaves other countries as the only sources of supplies. As the COVID-19 pandemic is no longer as severe in China, life is slowly returning back to normal, and masks are becoming readily available to the general public again.

We are purchasing personal protective equipment (PPE), including procedural masks, goggles, surgical gowns, and most importantly masks. They can be shipped to the United States in around 1-2 weeks.

Due to governmental situations, however, restrictions are set on both the acquisition and exportation of masks. While we had previously been purchasing and shipping masks in small packages, this has become increasingly difficult due to the tightening of Chinese export customs. Now, the only reliable way is to order directly from corporations and buy in bulk, with palates of masks to be shipped over.


There are also numerous concerns about safety of these masks and the quality of masks coming from China. As the entire world is desperate for masks, many organizations have fallen victim to scammers and the network of counterfeits, posing as legitimate manufacturers. This is why we are purchasing the masks directly from manufacturers without third-party interference to ensure no possibility of subpar substitution.

We have already made many donations to groups across Ohio, and have received requests for masks from many more groups as well.

- Community Matters  - 150 Masks

- Avondale Development Corporation - 150 Masks

-Mason City Schools - 250 Masks

-The Urban League of Southwestern Ohio - 200 Masks

-TriHealth Bethesda North Hospital - 150 Masks

-Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy - 400 Masks

-The Center for Closing the Health Gap (Protesters) - 1,500 Masks


Total: 4,138 Masks


We are only able to obtain masks and supplies for these groups with your help.


Help protect not only the lives of patients infected with the virus, but also the healthcare workers and service members to whom all of us are grateful. Help protect our community workers and flatten the curve.
