Hope Starts Here: Providing a Safe Place to Live

The fundraising committee of Firm Foundation of Virginia  asks for your help to raise $55,000. These funds will help us cover the daily living and program expenses needed to provide a safe place to live to homeless pregnant and single mothers who are transitioning from homelessness to permanent housing. Our organization is not funded by state or federal grants. We depend on the generosity of organizations, churches, volunteers, and donors who believe in our mission.

We are a faith-based, non-profit 501c 3 organization that serves homeless single mothers, age 18 to 35, living in poverty or experiencing life crises. Our organization provides a holistic nurturing home environment that is conducive to addressing their needs. Our mission is to help mothers become change agents in their lives and the lives of their children. We believe that by providing them with a supportive safe place to live, which is one of the basic needs in life, we can help them to renew their hope in themselves as they move forward in rebuilding their lives; thus, our motto: “Hope Starts Here.”
