Need help for my mom

My mom's name is Deborah Ratliff and she is a wonderful person. She has always been there for her kids and grandkids. When I was younger, mom would foster kids who had been abused, opening her heart and home to them. If we needed anything, she would find a way to provide for us even if she had to take on an extra job. 



Now my mom is the one who needs help. Mom has diabetes and leukocytopenia. She was recently hospitalized with severe abdominal pain which was unbearable. She was diagnosed with a large blood clot which killed 50% of her spleen. 


Two days after being released, she was told by the surgeon that her spleen needed to be removed immediately for fear of bacterial infection and to ease the pain. Her surgery is scheduled for this week. Due to being laid off a week prior, her insurance runs out this week. The specialty appointments needed, the medication and living expenses are too much for her to handle until she can get back on her feet. 


We are hoping to raise $5000 to allow her to recuperate and not be stressed out or worried. I love my mom more than life itself and would do anything I could for her. Unfortunately, I am disabled and therefore unable to help financially. Any donation will help. Please share her story. 

My mom deserves a break. Too much has been thrown at us lately and this stress isn't good for her health. Mom has been fighting with health issues for years, from diabetes to cirrhosis (NOT from drinking) to heart issues, and shes had 4 strokes all migraine related. Through it all she kept a steady job and provided for her household. Now she's hit a few obstacles in the road that she can't avoid without some help.
