Support us as we run, walk, hop, skip and jump 5KM A Day this October.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and as a cause very close to our hearts we are endeavouring on this challenge to raise money for the McGrath Foundation.
Lana's Dad is currently undertaking treatment for Breast Cancer. Male breast cancer is majorly under represented in the media, however this does not reflect the rising number of male breast cancer diagnoses each year and it's severity. Raising awareness that breast cancer does not just affect women is incredibly important to us.
Addie's mum, Pookie, lost her battle with Cancer on the 10th October 2016. During this time the incredible nurses were such a light to mum's weekly treatments and an amazing support to our family.
The McGrath's foundation commitment to ensure that every family in Australia experiencing breast cancer has access to a McGrath Breast Care Nurse for free, no matter where they live or their financial situation, is something that is such a motivator for us both.
On the Sunday 10th we will also be doing a 25km memorial walk together in memory of Pookie Bell and those who are and have been brushed with Cancer.
Any support big or small is so appreciated.
