Hurricane Irma Relief Effort

Hello my name is Jordan Dillenberg. I am from Birmingham Alabama. I am working with a team of siz individuals to raise fund to purchase much needed supplies to the victims of Hurricane Irma. We will work to coridinate the delivery of theses items to Florida and aid vicitms of the storm.
Whew - here we go! As Hurricane Irma makes landfall and continues to pummel the state of Florida, my family and friends feel compelled to act. We are planning and coordinating a relief effort with two 35ft horse trailers that we will stock to the brim with supplies.
If you know me, you know that I am a huge animal lover! Our main mission is to bring supplies for our four-legged friends, both k-9 and equine. Cats too! In weather related disaster situations, animals tend to be forgotten in the relief efforts with owners surrendering their pets or, unfortunately, abandoning them all together. We are teaming up with local rescue organizations to supply them with what they need to aid in rescuing these animals. While our relief efforts are animal focused, we will also be bringing supplies to the residents of Florida who have become victims of Hurricane Irma.
Supplies that we plan on bringing is as follows:
- Hay
- Grain
- Food for dogs, cats, and people
- Dog/cat collars and leashes
- Halters and lead ropes for horses
- Kennels
- Bowls, feed tubs, and buckets
- Veterinary supplies
- Medical supplies
- Bottled water
- Generators
- Fuel
Once we have exhausted our stock of supplies, we will also be able to use our empty trailers to bring animals back who need new forever homes. We will have seven stalls for horses and ample room in our air-conditioned living quarters to bring dogs and cats back with us in kennels. We will be working with rescue organizations to coordinate transport.
