Patrick's Medical Bills

Patrick O'Donnell is 52 years old. In 2002 he was diagnosed with IGA Nephropathy and was placed on dialysis one year later. He went to dialysis for eleven years before he received a kidney transplant. After the transplant he has had several different issues which caused him not to be able to work.
In 2021, he was diagnosed with Aortic stenosis. He will be having heart surgery the last week of April. While waiting for an opening for surgery, he had to have a dental appointment to have a cavity fixed. Also his blood was low, so they did a colonoscopy which showed he has a hiatal hernia and they removed polyps.
During all this, Patrick and his wife, Charlene have been trying for his disability. They finally hired a lawyer, who told them it could take at least a year.
The only means of income at  this time is his wife's job. The only problem is, she has been taking off for all his doctor appointments and has used all her sick days from work. She will also have to take off after his surgery to take care of Patrick.  During this time no money will be coming in for everyday expenses. Before he comes home from the hospital, he will need supplies, such as a lift chair. This money will provide his wife to get these things for him and for expenses while he recuperates
