In 1990 I was diagnosed with Lupus, a chronic autoimmune disease in which my immune system produces antibodies that attack healthy cells and tissues. Lupus affects the joints, skin, kidneys, blood cells, brain, heart, and lungs,there is no cure. The disease process has caused irreversible tissue damage to my heart and my kidneys. My journey has been long and I have fought many fights including battling and beating Breast Cancer. In February of 2015, I required an aorta repair and mitral valve replacement and in 2016, I was started on dialysis. I was placed on the Kidney transplant list and by the grace of God my name came up and my heart is strong enough to endure the surgery. I am here today asking for lots of prayers and some much needed financial assistance. The funds will be used for my medications that will help to stop my body from rejecting the new kidney.
