Help Debbie Fight Cancer

Dear family, friends, and all who love Debbie as we do,
Debbie Simmons Noorlander is one of the brightest lights to ever grace this beautiful world and she needs our help! Debbie has had many trials leading up to being diagnosed with stage 2 grade 3 triple negative breast cancer; many of which would constitute a lifetime worth of burdens on their own. It is hard to understand sometimes why one person can be left to carry so much. It has been seven months since Debbie received her diagnosis. At the time she already had a surgery scheduled for her heart condition, which had to be postponed so she could focus on the more immediate need of cancer. However, her heart problems have persisted and unfortunately they worsened with chemo. Her heart will now spend long periods of time beating in the low 30’s and 40's, which is not only dangerous but has zapped her energy and makes her feel ill almost constantly. Due to this, she can no longer receive chemotherapy for her breast cancer, which is the most aggressive form of breast cancer.
Her cardio surgeon now believes the effects of the chemo have likely caused permanent damage and that the negative effects are lasting longer and longer each time and now looking at all options available to her, is a good decision.
She is preparing for radiation but that could weaken her heart wall so the final decision is still up in the air.
As new problems have continued to arise, Debbie, along with others have reached out to doctors around the world who practice integrated medicine. Medicaid, Debbie’s insurance, does not cover out of network physicians and treatments. With the loss of her job she is not able to meet the cost of the treatments on her own. So we, as her friends, have offered to set a goal to raise sufficient funds for her.
This beautiful woman lifts all of us with her gratitude blogs that she writes most evenings. Even in a very weakened state her energy is directed toward expressing love and appreciation for the many kind hearts that help her on a daily basis. This woman, the brightest light to her family and friends, is in a position she never wanted to be in; a position that will require help from others she alone would never ask for. As a few who love Debbie, we are asking for this small miracle for her. If you are able in any way to donate to the cost of integrated medicine, we would ask that you do so in order that she may seek that help before losing whatever good has come from treatments so far.
