In September 2017 my husband was diagnosed with degenerative spinal disease. The doctor told him if he continued with his career, he would soon be in a wheelchair. One week later, he was diagnosed with cancer. He is not able to work at this point. He had surgery at the beginning of November, removed one tonsil and lympnoids on one side. He will be starting chemo and radiation in one week. We were already living paycheck to paycheck, now down to one income! We live on a small farm, raising our meat (trying to be healthy). I'm also currently in school and do not want to drop out. We do not quality for assistance and we do not have shut off notices, YET! We are trying to stay on top of finances but when medical bills start pouring in and down to one income, we are at a loss as to how much longer we can stay afloat!
