Gavin’s funeral

Donation protected

Walton Gavin Grothe was a brother, son, nephew, and just a few months before his passing became a uncle.

Gavin lived his life like there was no tomorrow. Was a friend to anyone who met him. Always tried to make the best of a horrible situation. As a kid and a adult anyone will tell you he was the smartest person they ever met. Gavin battled with his mental health his whole life, from depression and anxiety to his autism. He also battled with his addiction. Gavin was in and out of rehabs and Oxford houses the last few years of his life. His want to get sober was always there, but just couldn’t ever seem to kick it. When Gavin realized he was going to be a uncle he decided it was time to really give AA and NA a shot but ultimately his addiction is what took his life. He relapsed and passed the same nightThe biggest thing I remember him alwayssaying to me when he would be in recovery is that everyone can relapse but not everyone gets to recover. Gavin’s passing was sudden and not something I thought I’d ever have to face. I’m asking for donations towards a funeral for Gavin. Anything can and will help and would be beyond appreciated.
