While I try to always find the positive in a negative situation, I see no other way than to ask for help. This is very humbling and hard for me to admit that I need help. I never put my personal and professional issues for everyone out in the open to deal to deal with. But I have worked hard to always figure it out on my own. After over coming one traumatic situation after another I am broke, mentally and financially. I know that many of you are battling your own COVID19 related issues at the moment and my heart goes out to you. Eric and I opened our dream fitness boutique after battling personal health issues for myself as well as Erics health issues resulting in brain surgery. We opened our doors at The Venus Healing Arts Center March 1, 2020. We were open for 15 days. During the shelter in place I received over 91 emails from my landlord and her associates. Some pertaining to the building, most had nothing to do with anything or the establishment, some with crazy ideas how to move all the equipment into the parking lot. These emails caused a tremendous amount of stress. I would respond by standing my ground and expressing the amount stress it was causing, then having to back peddle because we are at her mercy. The landlord is demanding terms and percentage of back payments we can not afford or ethically agree to. Similar demands were sent to other tenants of the building. If we (all tenants) Can not agree to the terms we ALL have to move. In addition, when I questioned if she was was going to take legal action her words “I can’t say I won’t sue you”. We can’t afford a attorney, we don’t have the unlimited resources like she does. We have to respond by July 24th 2020. While we have only been operating in this location for 15 days we have serviced our community for 19 years, we have put every dollar saved into our studio. We were never prorated for the month of March in these terms. We were allowed in the building During the last week of June to assist clients one on one with serious health related issues. And can provide documentation to verify. These services were provided as karma therapy(free) because we knew how important it was to their physical health and mental health. Our clients are at serious risk of heart attacks, advanced diabetes, relapse and suicide. We then slowly opened up to our our existing members July 1st...still not able to operate under pre-pandemic conditions. We spent money we didn’t have to meet all the new rules and regulations only to be shut again. I then received permission from Riverside County University Health System-Public Health to service clients with chronic diseases and disorders on July 13th. Our clients are not just reps and sets. They are our family. Their lives depend on our service. We are now in fear that our equipment with be taken or held from us if we don’t agree to this contract. We fear of the lives for our clients and our community. We know that we can safely assist our clients and our community. We ask for donations of any and all sizes. We ask for help moving our equipment during these extreme July weather conditions. We ask for help with trailers or moving companies. We ask for our realtor friends to reach out to your clients for a place to move our equipment to and begin helping our community as quickly as possible. At times I sometimes think eric and myself care about you and believe in you, more than you do yourself. We stay up at worrying about our clients, we consult with Doctors and Educators on how we can further help them. We educate ourselves with formal training on a on-going basis to bring updated practices to our clients. We are not just trainer and teacher. We are your family. We ask for your support, and prayers. We can’t do this alone.
