Hello, My name is Lexy Buyar and God has called me to be a missionary. For as long as I can remember I thought that when I grew up I would become a nurse. My desire has always been to compassionately serve people in vulnerable situations which I could see myself fulfilling in the field of nursing. However, when I entered college, I started to doubt whether or not nursing was the right career for me. I began to feel a growing pressure to finalize my major in college and begin pursuing a career.
After many days of trying to figure out my future on my own I decided to ask God what He had planned for my career. God revealed himself to me in multiple ways and ultimately showed me that God was actively working in my life...even in my waiting for answers. Because of this, I started to truly grow in my relationship in Christ, budding in the new intimacy that I was beginning to have with Jesus. Jesus was worth the wait of six long months. His response to my question came suddenly, catching me off guard. God said that my purpose was to be a missionary! Many insecurities and fears came to mind , yet God showed me that ,"God doesn't call the qualified, He qualifies the called."
After accepting my calling, I asked God what my next step was. He called me to be humble, obedient and to listen to Him. I did my best to do just that. I began to feel this desire to go to a YWAM-DTS (Youth With A Mission) which is a Christian organization with a passion to know God and to make Him known.

Through divine appointments and multiple confirmations, I firmly believe that God has called me to YWAM DTS in Kansas City.
I believe that God is desiring to meet me there in order to grow our relationship and to pursue God's missionary calling on my life!
