My wife Yvette is such a hardworking woman, and mother to an 11-month-old baby, and two teenagers, and has to deal with me. She is also a student who has been desperately trying to achieve her dream of becoming a child psychologist, while juggling work and the kids.
Somehow while working full time, and being a full-time mother, she was able to achieve a 4.0 GPA, and be accepted into the Phi Theta Kappa honors program. She just recently received an invite for a once in a lifetime opportunity. She was nominated to participate in the International Scholar Laureate program. Based on her major in the medical field, they have invited her to Australia for 10 days to experience this program, which will assist her in her future career. Not only is she excited and honored about being invited to this program, it has also been a lifelong dream of hers to visit Australia. She has always been in-love with that country, and has often told me how visiting there is one of the few items on her “bucket list”.
My wife is a very humble and modest person. She works hard for everything she has, and she will go above and beyond to help anyone. Her one major flaw is her inability to ask for help when she truly needs it. I would like to be able to see her participate in this once in a lifetime opportunity, and be able to help her have one of her dreams come true. This trip is expensive. The core tuition for the event is $3,500, and that does not include airfare to and from Australia.
Please assist me in helping my wife accept this opportunity that has been presented to her. We will be forever grateful.
