Yvette’s Battle

Yvette Belanger is a well loved mother, grandmother, and friend raised in Cobalt, Ontario. She was planning a trip out west for Christmas to visit myself (her granddaughter), and her daughter when a routine ultrasound discovered a mass on her stomach. After many tests and a rush surgery to remove the tumor she found out just before Christmas it was cancerous. The next step was to go to Sudbury for more consults. We thought it was over but the journey is only beginning. Her diagnosis was grim, ovarian cancer. On January 25th she will have another surgery to remove her ovaries and find out what stage she is in. My nana is a strong, independent woman. She currently lives on disability for her heart, so it’s tough to make ends meet but she doesn’t complain. This battle is going to be tough, factoring in travel costs, plus new medications on top of the ones she already takes for her heart. So we would like to raise as much money as we can to help relieve some of her stress! Our family greatly appreciates your donations, any amount will help.
