Yuri Lemos Torreao Burial Fund

Hi, my name is Renata Thurgood. I met Yuri, my godson, in Logan Utah when he was 1 year old. My son Lucas and Yuri were born a few weeks apart and became fast friends growing up together in Logan UT. My family later moved to our current home in Syracuse and Yuri's Family moved to Layton shortly thereafter. My son and Yuri remained close friends throughout their grade school and into their high school years. He attended North Davis Preparatory Academy for Grade School and Jr. High. He was a Senior graduating for Layton High School.

It is with a heavy and sad heart that I must inform you of Yuri's passing the Morning of Tuesday March 19th, just 10 days shy of his 18th birthday in a tragic motorcycle accident. Yuri was born March 30th, 2006 to Ignacio Torreao and Milla Silva. Yuri loved everything about cars. They were his love and passion; so much so that he had just received a scholarship and was planning to pursue a career as an Auto Mechanic. He had recently developed of love for fitness and exercise. He could be found many nights at EOS with his work out buddies. He loved being with friends and having a good time. Although life threw him some curve balls, he always had a smile on his face. He is survived by an older sister Leticia Torreao and younger brother/best bud Ky Valenzuela.

This unexpected tragedy has rocked his parents and their families to the very core. Their wish is to provide Yuri with a proper burial and a place to lay him to rest. We are asking for donations to help with the burial and unexpected hospital costs during this hard and difficult time.
