Sonny Anthony "Yung Rip" Rubio passed away Monday, September 9th, 2013 at his mother's residence in his moms arms surrounded by family & friends. He died from a long battle with cancer but confronted it with courage and dignity while enduring pain, never complaining.
We are currently trying to raise enough funds for a proper headstone.
Known as the artist Yung Rip was well known in the hip hop industry. His passion for writing, producing & performing were highly respected by his fellow artists in the hip hop community. He was a devoted Oakland Raiders, Utah Utes, Jazz & the New York Yankees. He was voted in the top 3 of the top producers of Utah in the music industry. He loved to BBQ and show off his amazing cooking skills.
Anthony is survived by his mother Shannon "Chica" Pantoja, sisters Monica & Selena, brothers Francisco & Ralph. Also by his father Elias Lopez, Brother Elias Jr. sisters Alissa & Jessica. Grandparents Donna Byrd, Myron Benoist, Orly & Jackie Chacon, Elias Lopez Sr. Anthony is also survived by girlfriend Elizabeth "Boko" Olive, and numerous Aunts, Uncles, cousins and friends.
Anthony is preceded in death by Step-Father Tony Fuailema'a, & Uncle Richard Anthony Byrd
