My Trip to Israel!

This May, I will be traveling to Israel for 3 weeks with a group from Denver Seminary! I am in my second year of my Master of Divinity degree at Denver Seminary. It has been very challenging and stretching, but so good and I am so thankful for the opportunity to learn and study the Bible, theology, and more. Going to Israel has been a dream of mine for many years, to walk where Jesus and so many others walked before, to see the places they saw and, for a time, to live where they lived. I believe that going to Israel will cause the Bible to come to life and that I would read it, and teach it, with new life. I will begin to see the stories in a whole new light and that excites me so much! This trip to Israel will definitely be challenging and growing in so many ways, but I believe that it will benefit me and my future ministry in even more ways, abundantly more than I can imagine right now.
I will be taking a class, “Historical and Geographical Settings of the Bible,” through Jerusalem University College. I will have so many amazing opportunities and learn so much while I am over there. We will also have an opportunity to meet so many amazing people and to hear about what God is doing in Israel today. That, combined with learning about what God has done in the Land of the Bible, will be absolutely remarkable.
In order to make this trip a reality though, I need the help and support of you. The cost of this trip will be approximately $5500. That includes airfare, housing, food, field trips, and tuition for 4 credits for the class, which will transfer to my degree at Denver Seminary. I will also spend a couple days in Jordan after my time in Israel. Though it is expensive, it is a life-changing opportunity that I just can’t pass up! So, I am asking for support to help me make this trip to Israel a reality. I have already raised $3,000, so that means I only have $2500 to go! I cannot do that alone, but I know that if God wants me there, he will provide! I hope that you would consider joining my team through supporting me and helping me come up with the money I need to pay for this trip.
I would also love your prayer for several things leading up to this trip, and while I am in Israel as well. Pray that God would open my eyes to what he is doing in Israel and in the Middle East. Pray for strength, as it will be a challenging and probably an exhausting, but exciting 3 weeks.
