Mission Trip to Dominican Republic

I am very excited to announce that I will be serving on a mission trip this summer! I will be working with a group of Legacy Christian Academy students as we join the ongoing ministry of a group called "25 Project", serving children and families in impoverished communities in the Dominican Republic.
While the Dominican Republic has it’s share of ideal tourist locations, the reality is that almost half of the general population there lives in abject poverty and hopelessness, with an income of $1.25 a day or less. About one million children in the Dominican Republic live in such poverty, and roughly 578,000 children under the age of 15 are orphaned and without parental care. As part of the mission team, I will have the opportunity to serve both in a local village and at a four-day kids bible camp. I cannot wait to form meaningful relationships with the local children as we play, craft, worship and bible study together.
I am just so excited to partner with my fellow students and 25 Project to share hope, meet needs and change lives in the Dominican Republic by introducing orphaned and vulnerable children to Jesus Christ! Would you be willing to join me to pray and to support me financially in this effort? Your prayers are so important to the success of a trip like this. Please pray that we will have safety as we travel, that God would give us strength and endurance as we share His love with the people of the Dominican Republic, that they would hear the Gospel clearly, and that God would provide the funds needed for our team to serve there.
The total cost of this trip will be about $2,100 per person, which needs to be raised by May 15th. If the Lord leads you to be involved financially, you can easily donate here to my gofundme campaign. Any amount raised beyond the cost of my individual trip will go to help other participants on the team.
